ABOUT KENNA “BUG” ALLEN

As a student of art since 2009, I have predominately focused in portraiture and anatomical studies. My work is a stylized assemblage that recognizes the shape, curve, and perspective of the human figure—compositions centered in the development of anatomical understanding.
I am a Custom Framer. I have experience in high-volume, fast paced frame shops and with a cultured appreciation for the rendering of finely, designed framed art, I will always do the best work for the artworks’ sake. Come see me for any of your custom framing needs.

The Human Form Awakened

I wish to create a resurgent awareness of the individual through the image of the human form and an awakened interest in anatomy that comprises the intrinsic person. Heavily influenced by my education in massage therapy and the Italian master Leonardo Da Vinci, drawing people became a gateway in which I could continue studying anatomy as in depth as possible and see the body exposed, de-fleshed and visceral—the structure, composition, and unity comprised within the body as art in of itself.
